About this workshop
The Procedural Essentials Workshop is a full-day, hands-on procedural skills training for nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Whether you are preparing for your first procedure-heavy role or transitioning into a new clinical setting, this workshop gives you the repetition and expert instruction needed to perform core procedures with confidence.
Each module combines a focused didactic with an extended skills lab. You will work with real instruments and high-quality anatomic models, with an instructor observing your technique and providing direct feedback throughout the day.
Modules covered
• Suturing and wound management: wound assessment, local anesthesia, and four suture techniques
• Abscess incision and drainage: complete evacuation, deloculation, packing, and loop drain placement
• Nail and digital procedures: digital nerve block, trephination, paronychia drainage, and nail avulsion
